All you have to do to enter is leave a comment at Fashion Incubator, formatted in Haiku. So,

Post your entry now
At Fashion Incubator.
Maybe win these books!

Of course, I'm planning to win the books, so you needn't bother to enter, but do check out this exceptionally informative and interesting blog about apparel manufacturing. Among the many Fashion Incubator delights are the frequent garment construction puzzle posts, including one being worked out now on the blog. Kathleen Fasanella is the author of The Entrepreneur's Guide to Sewn Product Manufacturing, available through her website.

Meanwhile, on the home front, I finished my Vogue 8618 and wore it to work today. Not too shabby!

  1. That looks so comfortable and cozy and fits you like a glove! Are you planning to make more from this pattern?

  2. Nice top, it is one of the few Tilton patterns I do not have or want. If I wear anything resembling a turtleneck, it makes me look like my head is attached to my body without benefit of a neck. As I am sure you can imagine, it isn`t a look I am fond of.

Thank you for fueling my sewing book addiction, I will enter the contest. As long as quality of the Haiku isn't taken into account, I could win.

    1. The neck does remind me a bit of Bazooka Joe's friend Mort. I wonder if I could cut it down a bit.

    1. I hope I do, too. Although it would be sort of a waste, since those Japanese pattern books are all made for tiny little people nothing like myself.

  9. I'm still impressed/annoyed that you spotted the self-writing haiku of the book titles. The only consolation is that "stretch fabric" is stressed differently than all the rest of the titles and it's been driving me absolutely batty in an otherwise perfectly stressed English haiku. Can't they rename that volume Pattern Magic: Cloth with Stretch and keep the meter consistent?

. . .and I have to ask, how does one _wear_ a potato masher?
*glances up, hoping to spot the reference which flew overhead*
